Wickedly Thin! AE-01 Evo Pedals from HT Components

I've spent the past 7 months putting HT's AE-01 pedals to the test on my freeride rig and my dirt jump rig. In that time on these pedals I have come to love them. Only one pedal slip and it was purely my fault, I barely had my foot on the pedal.

Traction is maximized with 10 grip pins on each side of the pedal and a thickness of only 11mm. The platform measures 102mm long x 96mm wide x 11mm thin. Eliminating roll overs completely. Not to mention it gives you better ground clearance and they look great.

These bad boys have seen their share of abuse in all kinds of situations and conditions. Snow, rain, mud, silt, sand, rocks, roots, etc. I find these flats work great for freeride, downhill, all mountain, dirt jump and even cross country.

The AE-01's have gnarly amounts of traction due to 20 grip pins per pedal. They weigh next to nothing, 358 grams for the pair. The pedal body is made of CNC machined extruded aluminum. Measuring 102mm x 96mm x 11mm (L/W/H). Spindles are CNC machined out of cromoly steel with dual DU bushings and one patent bearing.

Below you will find some pictures, facts and my first impressions on HT Components Evo AE-01 flat mtb pedals.

If this does not make you drool then you are simply off your rocker. Haha. What you see here is a pair of high polish silver anodized AE-01 Evo flat pedals from HT Components. I haven't even put these on the freeride test rig yet and I'm already a fan. They are super thin and weigh pretty much nothing. The tube in one of my tires weighs more than the pair of pedals. The grip seems like it will be immense. I can't wait to get these bad boys on the test bike and get to shredding. Be sure to keep an eye out for the full review in the future.
